Essential Albums

2128CD_player

I am in the process of compiling a list of Essential Albums that any person should have. Since I don’t have every album that has ever been created, I need your help.

If there was someone out there who has NEVER listened to music, what are the Essential Albums you would give  to introduce them to the Wonderful World of Music?

The Tradish

133199_l

A few years ago, several gentlemen began meeting for lunch every Monday. During this meeting they would discuss albums, songs, instruments, and anything else revolving around music.  This endeavour became a ritual and an institution was born…The Tradish. Starting at  what was referred to as the “Urinal Cake” or also known as Smithfield’s, they later moved The Tradish to the Zaxby’s establishment on 17th St. Extension. Once one of the founders (Mr. William M Hughes who is a gentleman and a scholar) had to leave Wilmington, the group was so distraught that they then moved The Tradish to a burger place called PT’s. PT’s is one of those places you HAVE to eat at whenever you are in Wilmington, NC.

Well it is long overdue but tomorrow July 16, 2009 there is going to be a reunion of The Tradish. There are good times to be had as these gentlemen reunite for great food and conversation revolving around all things music.
